Like its older sibling, Donna Karan New York, the fast, hip and spirited DKNY embraces the energy of the city. It was Donna Karan’s quest for the perfect jeans, as well as her desire to dress her daughter Gabby that inspired the creation of DKNY in 1989 - fast fashion with an urban mind-set.
DKNY collections are always inspired by Donna Karan’s native New York, which sets the cosmopolitan pace and attitude. It’s all about easy-to-wear wardrobe must-haves, which take you stylishly from day to night, from weekday to weekend, season after season.
This denim-based diffusion line became so popular and diverse that other brands and labels spun from it. Creating a lifestyle brand including ready-to-wear for men and women, active wear, lingerie and underwear, as well as children’s collections, fragrance and home. DKNY also has collection of accessories and shoes, underscoring its New York City, street-smart look.
