The brand

The idea for Ultimo lingerie surfaced when the brand’s Glaswegian founder attended a dinner dance with her husband wearing a very uncomfortable cleavage-enhancing bra and swore that she would make a comfortable, bust-boosting alternative. In 1999, the Ultimo silicon gel bra was born, but it wasn’t until 2000 that the brand really shot to fame when actress Julia Roberts wore an Ultimo gel bra in the film Erin Brockovich.


The brand has built on this early success and is now the fastest-growing designer lingerie brand in the UK and is known as a celebrity favourite.


Ultimo is split into three main categories: cleavage-enhancing lingerie in A to D cups fronted by Spice Girl Mel B, lingerie big on support and comfort in cups D to G fronted by model Melinda Messenger, and a younger brand called Miss Ultimo with fun, flirty, fashion-led designs for younger Ultimo customers fronted by It Girl Peaches Geldof.

The collection

Ultimo bras use silicone gel to help enhance the bust while maintaining comfort. Unlike padded bras that use foam, the silicone inserts feel and move like real breasts. Ultimo selects high-quality fabrics to create stylish, sexy, sophisticated lingerie that effectively supports women’s assets. Bras range from A to G cups.
