The brand
Design-led tableware, bathrooms and lifestyle accessories brand Villeroy & Boch was founded more than 260 years ago when founder François Boch began manufacturing ceramic tableware in the Lorraine region of France in 1748.
The brand has always strived for technical innovation as well as beautiful design and its pioneering development has led to such creations as its easy-care ceramic finish CeramicPlus and Light Tile, a tile fitted with a light-emitting diode.
Villeroy & Boch prides itself on the strength of its design team and has also sought the influence of outside creatives, including internationally revered designers Van de Velde, Behrens and Olbrich. Villeroy & Boch has been presented with a number of design awards over the years.
