Halloween makeup with the makeup you have

Love to dress up, but hate the hassle that comes with it? We’ve trawled the internet for our favourite Halloween makeup looks, that are possible to do with the makeup you have.

Forget about turning up to a party as a cute kitten, or Harley Quinn like 90% of the female population that do decide to dress up this year, we think you should dress up as a Gothic Paranormal Princess!

Gothic Paranormal Princess

Step 1 – Mix up some water with baby powder to make a smooth white paste. Apply a thin layer of paste to your face (avoiding your eyes). Finish by patting dry baby powder onto your face to hold the paste in place. Let this set, before beginning the next step.

Step 2 – Emphasise the eyelids with a stronger white eyeshadow and begin to mark out the areas of black eyeliner using both liquid and pencil eyeliner and black loose powder eyeshadow. Add detailed drip marks for an eerie effect.

Step 3 – Glue your false eyelashes in the socket of your eyelid giving you a glass eye look.

Step 4 – Using the liquid eyeliner, paint your lips black with the same drip like effect to finish

Skull

Step 1 – Use the same baby powder mix as listed above, and fully cover your face and neck.

Step 2 – Apply smoky eye shadow, eyeliner, false eyelashes and mascara as you normally would.

Step 3 – Using a pencil eyeliner, lightly draw two triangles starting at each side of the midpoint of your nose, finishing just inside the base and edge of your nostrils.

Step 4 – Once again using the pencil eyeliner gently sketch out the outline of teeth, extending an inch further than your mouth. Blend for an aged effect.

Clown

Step 1 – For the base of the clown, use a lighter mix of the baby powder listed above to get the desired result.

Step 2– Apply gold eye shadow on the base and accent using a sharp, thick black eye shadow pencil, then blend for a clean, yet smoky finish. Use a liquid eyeliner to add the perfect feline flick.

Step 3 – Now for the fun part. Mark out the points of your triangles using liquid eyeliner, above and below the eyes.  Connect each point with a line – for the triangle on top, ensure the lines are poker straight, for the triangles below, arch the line slightly on the inside.

Step 4 – Finally for lips so black, only the devil dare kiss them. Draw points above the philtrum to emphasise your lips and mark the end of the smile. Connect the points, making an arched line along the upper lip. Next, use the liquid liner to outline from the middle of the lower lip and work out to meet the point to frame the mouth. To finish, fill with black lip liner and you’re ready to go.
