Four Top SS15 Trends from Red Style Editor, Lauren T Franks

Our fantastic, highly-anticipated Red Magazine SS15 Edit is now live on BrandAlley, so we caught up with Red Magazine’s Style Editor, Lauren T Franks who helped curate this exclusive sale.

Here, Lauren talks us through four of her favourite looks and details the best way to make each look work for you. Whether you’re shopping for office wear, wardrobe staples or one-off specials, Lauren’s top picks include the most desirable items from our exciting range of designer brands.

Over to you, Lauren…

Look 1: OFF-DUTY COOL
If your approach to dressing is casual and relaxed, the covetable off-duty model style is easy to replicate and incredibly versatile. Key to achieving this trend is a pair of jeans; either cropped-skinnies or loose ‘boyfriend-fit’, worn with comfy flats. Complete the look by layering loose-fitting tops, mixing fabrics such as cotton or silk, or adding a thick, knitted jumper. This relaxed and comfortable trend is a firm favourite amongst fashionistas.

Be inspired to look your very best, with statement pieces that let you express your individuality. Look beyond jewellery to find trends that reflect your personality and uniqueness. Think beautifully-embellished fabrics, mirrored or psychedelic leathers and bright, stand-out bags. Style with understated classics to make your feature-piece shine, whatever the occasion!

Look 3: BLAST FROM THE PAST
Seventies’ looks are huge for SS15, and I was delighted to see them appear again at last week’s London Fashion Week AW15. It means we can spend a little more on this trend, knowing it’ll see us through the seasons – I just love that type of savvy shopping!

Look 4: NINE TO FIVE
Keep your work wardrobe chic and minimal. The finesse is in creating a gorgeous work-appropriate silhouette, so it’s very much about the tailoring here; cropped trousers or a sleek, elegant coat will add interest. These shapes are best highlighted in monochrome, so nail the trend with greys and ‘new neutrals’ like khaki, burgundy and soft pink.
