- All of our hides are a bi-product of the meat industry, they are Eco-tanned (much kinder to the environment avoiding heavy metals and pollutants) in line with EU directives. Icelandic sheep live in one of the toughest climates. As a result, they develop two coats simultaneously, the Tog and the Pel. The Tog (or outer coat) tanned well provides the long straight silky hair that is much desired on an Icelandic sheepskin, we always ensure this is at least 15cm long. Equally important is the Pel, this is the dense inner coat. A rich deep Pel gives an Icelandic rug its body and substance. It

Delivery times
Our delivery dates vary depending on whether our suppliers need to deliver stock to our warehouse after you have purchased. You will find the delivery date for each sale displayed on the sale and product page, and at the checkout stage.
Items available to us right away will be delivered to you within 2-4 days and when it will take longer, the delivery dates are made clear throughout your order journey.
