Update from the blogosphere #89 – LFW round-up

Without a shadow of a doubt, fashion’s most exciting week finished on Tuesday (in the UK) and is still going strong in Milan and then Paris. It’s no wonder that the blogosphere has been quick to pick up on all the trends, street styles, catwalk shows and gossip from LFW so we picked a few of our faves to give you a weekly round-up.

If you caught our street style blog on Tuesday (check it out here), you’ll have noticed we saw a lot of camouflage and khaki. Military style was clearly a big trend on the streets at LFW, mostly in jacket form but Lily from What I Heart Today blog was rocking a pair of camou green jeans. We also saw lots of fabulous statement necklaces and again, Lily was working this look. Her final outfit for LFW was bang on trend and looked effortlessly cool. Check out all the outfits on her blog here.

When we quizzed the stylish people at LFW about their favourite shows, The Ashish spring 2013 catwalk was right up there. We spotted on Fashion Loving blog a mini synopsis which summarised the collection perfectly and made us all here at BrandAlley HQ keen to replenish our sports luxe wardrobes. Top tip: sequins and sportswear are going to be huge SS13.

Everyone knows the UK style is edgy and cool and LFW didn’t disappoint. Belle about town blogspot commented how London Fashion Week was once again showing the eclectic and edgy side to British fashion noting the key trends. Our favourite look for SS13 has to be the crisp white trend that was seen at lots of different shows as it embraces the cleaner side to UK fashion. But don’t think this trend is boring. Oh no! From trouser suits to flowing maxis, every style was incorporated so androgyny still rules this fair land. Plus, nothing says summer like  all white. For all the top trends Belle about town blogspot noted, head to the blog here.

To catch a round-up of all the shows in picture form, head to Emmie Lou Loves blogspot as here she give a snapshop of a few key pieces from each show so you’re sure to know which trends are going to be big and what to start looking out for now.

Have a great weekend!
