Samsonite

Over a century old, Samsonite has been producing contemporary luggage since leather trunks were all the rage. Now, the brand creates stylish, lightweight, durable suitcases and accessories for the modern jet setter.

Samsonite was founded by Jesse Shwayder in 1910 in a different world to the one we know now. Then, travel was reserved to those who could afford it, and luggage was similarly exclusive: robust wooden trunks as seen in classic movies were the products made by this company at the dawn of the 20th century.

By 1941, Samsonite was already making lighter luggage, by covering a wooden frame with vulcanised fibre and giving it a leather look. By 1974, the first suitcase with wheels debuted at the company, followed by three-point lock systems in 1986.

A strong and light Cosmolite case launched in 2008, followed by several other forward-thinking designs. Now, futuristic suitcases and their accessories are some of the most coveted luggage in the world, both for their aesthetic and for their innovation.

From one of the original travel brands, to a worldwide innovator, Samsonite is one of the most famous luggage labels.

Throughout its history, Samsonite has consistently proved itself as an innovator in the luggage world, and continues to do so. Shop lightweight, durable and beautiful hand luggage, cabin luggage and more at BrandAlley for amazing prices.
