5 Autumn/Winter Nail Trends You Need to Try Right Now

As the days grow shorter and we begin to dig out our favourite winter coats from the back of our wardrobes, it’s the perfect time to overhaul your glam routine and try a new nail trend for the new season.

Reds, purples and nudes are tried and tested favourites for autumn but alongside our go-to shades, there are a few extra designs we can’t wait to try. Here are some of our favourite nail trends for AW19 to get you excited for the colder months (cue the cashmere!):

Pretty Pearls

Much like pearl hair accessories that have exploded all over our Instagram feeds over the last few months, pearl nails are all the rage this season. Feel free to raid your grandma’s haberdashery collection to embellish these on your nails (or just head to the salon for a professional manicure).

Animal print nails

Is anyone sick of animal print yet? Nope, us neither! Which is good news for AW19 nail trends as these prints have now reached new levels of extra.

Whether you opt for snake, leopard or zebra, don’t be afraid to go bold with your print. For added glam, ask your manicurist to add a dash of neon into the mix.

The modern French manicure

French manicures certainly remind us of The Hills circa 2009 (think Lauren Conrad at Teen Vogue) but 2019 has given them a much-needed update.

While classic white looks simple and fresh, a splash of colour is most definitely allowed – what better way to match your nails to your favourite accessory?!

Tortoiseshell

OK, so this may fall into the animal print category but we love tortoiseshell nails so much we feel as though they deserve a bit more attention.

Extra bonus points if you have matching sunglasses…

Halloween nails

In our opinion, Halloween lasts for the duration of October so now’s the time to get spooky. Dark colours are always a win for autumn so a simple spiderweb on a black nail should do just the trick.
