7 Places to Watch the Fireworks in London this Bonfire Night

Of all the things we celebrate, the bungled plot of Guy Fawkes and co. is perhaps the most bizarre. Still, we’re not complaining: any excuse for a toffee apple and a London fireworks show.

Now that Haloween is well and truly over (booo), we can look forward to Bonfire Night celebrations. As per, the capital is full of fun weekend festivities, so you won’t have to rock up to work smelling of smoke.

This also means more time for toffee apples and sparklers, mulled wine and rockets. Here are the best places to get your pyrotechnic kicks this year:

Alexandra Palace

Situated atop Muswell Hill, views at this beautiful 19th-century venue are already spectacular. Add in a generous helping of fireworks, craft beer and street food (we love The Slow Roasted Meat Kitchen) and you’re onto a winner.

The Shard

Gloves and enormous outerwear – begone! Feel smug and warm by hot-footing it up the Shard to see a whole city’s worth of pyrotechnics.

London Eye

You could even enjoy London’s light show from the comfort of your very own pod: a unique way to experience one of the city’s most famous attractions.

Fireworks by the Thames at London Eye

Primrose Hill

A popular and romantic choice, roll up to this charming hillock of grass with a picnic blanket and a bottle of Prosecco for unprecedented Instagram opportunities.

Clissold Park

What’s better than fireworks? Fireworks and fancy dress, of course. This Hackney display is requesting its visitors to get creative as animals for the display.

Battersea Park Fireworks at the Thames

Battersea Park

Set to ‘music by legends’, we’re expecting plenty of Bowie and Prince at this West London hot spot.

Ravenscourt Park

London fireworks for the kids: this event has a show for the kids as well as the adults. Gather cool parent points by the boatload when you cart the little ones here.
