London Design Festival

Happy 10th anniversary, London Design Festival! As one of the world’s most important annual design events, there are hundreds of exciting events around the city celebrating London’s creativity and ingenuity. Once again, the V&A is the festival hub of this design extravaganza, where you can enjoy a fascinating array of displays, installations, talks and workshops – and rub shoulders with London’s design community. Click here to watch the V&A’s short film all about the Festival and visit London Design Festival for full details.

The London Look

During July, the Horniman Museum ran a photography challenge with the Londonist, asking participants if there was a definitive London look. And now, the fourteen, amazing finalist photographs, selected from over 350 entries, are on display.  Inspired by the Museum’s current exhibition ‘The Body Adorned: Dressing London’, The London Look captures the city’s unique style through street photography and is timed to coincide with London Fashion Week.

Calling all craft fans!  The second annual American Renegade Craft Fair is on today in London at the Old Truman Brewery from 11am-6pm. The Renegade team is renowned for getting the very best contemporary indie artists all together in one place, picked from hundreds of applicants. So, you can expect a brilliantly curated, eclectic mix of up-and-coming, young designers creating original and handmade goodies. It’s also the perfect opportunity for shopping, hands-on workshops, music and crafty gossip.
