BrandAlley: Bonnie

1. Tell us about yourself in less than 140 characters. My glass is half full. I like to see the fun in everything – including London, where I cram as much as I can in my free time.

2. Who/what am I inspired by? I take most of my inspiration from bloggers and vloggers. For Make-Up, I follow Tanya Burr’s make up tutorials. For food, I visit Natasha’s food blog, and if I’m unsure where to go and socialize I take inspiration from Rosie’s latest antics in London town.

3. What is the last thing you bought? A voucher for a night photography course. I take a ridiculous amount of photos on my phone but with my new fancy camera I’m hoping a course will sharpen me up a little.

4. Name three people, dead or alive that you’d invite to a dinner party. Why? Prince Harry, his life is on an entirely different spectrum to mine so he would be fascinating. Plus, there’d be constant intrigue about how the night would eventually pan out. Zooey Deschanel, if she’s anything like Jess in New Girl we will soon become best of friends. Father Christmas, I’ll have to get this dinner party booked in for December while it’s still festive but I’m thinking maybe the 27th when he has a bit of down time.

5. What’s your best eat in London? Trinity Restaurant in Clapham Old Town, I discovered it a few years ago and go as often as I can as the menu changes seasonally and they do a divine taster menu.

6. As a kid, what did you think you wanted to be when you ‘grew up’? A builder. Because they got to have loads of tea breaks and, as a true born and bred Brit, I believe a cup of tea really can help you through the challenges life throws your way.

7. What’s your biggest life achievement to date? I am highly competitive so last year, at only four weeks’ notice, I agreed to cycle 333 miles from Munich to Venice via the Alps. It was incredibly tough but a totally unforgettable experience.

8. What brand do you get most excited by at BrandAlley? I have a huge soft spot for Melissa Odabash bikinis. They fit beautifully and are so wonderfully comfortable. Plus they give me an excuse to book another holiday…

9. What is your life motto?
Don’t take life too seriously or you’ll never have any fun. Even the most daunting of challenges can be done with a smile on your face!

10. Can you tell us a secret no-one else knows about you? I’m a really open book so I don’t have any secrets. Well, not of my own anyway.

Okay then, tell us a joke. I’m really better at stories. This is a true story and it just tickles me so much that I have to share it: A friend of mine is a vet and one day a lady went in to the surgery and explained how she’d just bought a Shar Pei puppy off the internet for £1,000 and wanted to make sure it had its full check-ups. A short while later she returned to the dog-owner feeling slightly uncomfortable, “Erm, I’m really sorry to have to tell you this, but your Shar Pei puppy? Well. It’s not a puppy. It’s a guinea pig”. This is why you should not buy animals off the internet. Someone has done VERY well using their creativity.
