Halloween: No Carve Pumpkins

No Carve Pumpkins Ruben Chamorro

We all know the hassle of carving out a pumpkin and the mess it leaves us with. It’s incredibly annoying: and sometimes you don’t even get to eat the pumpkin inside because you’re so caught up in the carving.

So, we’ve decided to see what could be done with some simple no-carve pumpkins…and found that only your imagination is the limit with these no pumpkin carving, pumpkins this year. An artistic hand always help as well though…

Modern Halloween pumpkin ideas come from the Irish festival Samhain, a festival that marked the arrival of winter with huge bonfires believed to drive away spirits and ghosts. As well as this, they would carve faces into turnips to scare away the spirits in the sky. This is why we still have the tradition of carving the bigger pumpkin faces now. Fortunately, we are not in the 1600’s anymore – now we can just have fun and be creative with our Halloween decorations.

With a bit of creativity, you can go from your favourite Netflix TV show to your favourite foods in some simple easy steps. Now, I know that it may seem that you need to be a genius to make these no-carve pumpkins (we kind of did as well when we first saw them), but most require nothing more than simple tools such as spray paint and tape.

From Halloween costumes, to the trick or treating that comes with it, decorating big pumpkins is just another part of the Halloween experience (Even if you don’t like it). Probably the most important of Halloween decorations, finished pumpkins look pretty amazing if you’re watching horror movies in the dark especially if their lit up. This is probably the only time of year when you’ll buy a pumpkin, so why not make it look good?
