For our 2nd instalment of our Sleeptember Sleep Series, we’ll be discussing Beauty Sleep.

Although it may seem like an old cliché, there’s surprisingly some truth behind the idea that getting a good night’s sleep will enhance your beauty. Sleep deprivation can cause a number of issues, including stress-related breakouts, dark under-eyes and a generally dull, tired-looking complexion.

In this article, however, we’re not just going to be talking about how getting your forty-winks can make you feel more beautiful: we’ve got a whole-load of fabulous products to help make you feel that way, too.
Let the beauty sleep commence!

A hot bath alone can encourage a great night’s sleep, but a hot bath with indulgent bodycare? You’re in for a whole new level of relaxation! Add a luxury body oil to your bath to create an at-home spa experience – our go-to is the Revive Evening Bath & Shower Oil from Aromatherapy Associates.

We also have some night-time bath sets from NEOM that will leave you feeling, looking and smelling fabulous. You can check them out below.

Beautiful Night Sleep & Sleeve Gift Set – NEOM – £39
The Ultimate Sleep Gift Set – NEOM – £55
Sweet Dreams Gift Set – NEOM – £35

Night Creams

Night creams are the most hassle-free to keep your skin looking wonderful: just lather on before you go to bed, and let it work its magic!

REN night cream

Overnight Glow Dark Spot Sleeping Cream – REN – £32

The Overnight Glow Dark Spot Sleeping Cream from REN works to transform your skin while you sleep. Its rich, replenishing formula will have your face feeling energised, plump and radiant by morning.
Bye bye tired skin, hello makeup-free glow!

Night Oils

Nothing says beauty sleep quite like a luxury night oil. Often more concentrated than a cream, night oils will deeply penetrate the skin’s surface to have your skin feeling beautiful the following day.

Our current favourite night oil is NUXE’s Ultimate Night Recovery Oil. The formula is infused with strengthening Camargue rice extract oil and nourishing botanical oils, so you’ll wake up with smoother, more radiant-looking skin.

Overnight Face Serums

Similarly to night creams, face serums make a great fuss-free option to add to your skincare line-up. Our current favourite is the Rest & Revive Restorative Placenta & Stem Cell Night Serum from MZ Skin – it’s designed to detoxify, strengthen and repair the skin during its nightly rejuvenation. A plump, smooth and hydrated complexion – what more could you ask for?

Silk Eye Masks

Silk eye masks can bring a bunch of health and beauty benefits to your night-time routine. As silk is a great deal smoother than cotton, it won’t squeeze and stretch the skin while you sleep, thus helping to prevent creases and lines from forming. Not only this, but silk also contains amino acids, which help keep the skin lusciously moisturised.

Silk Bedding

The beauty of silk doesn’t stop there! This luxurious fabric is ideal for bedding, with many benefits that relate to beauty and your health. It’s non-irritating, so great for sensitive skin, and can help maintain hair’s natural moisture while reducing frizz.

You can shop some of our favourite silk pieces below:

Mulberry Silk Double Duvet Cover – Belledorm – £275
Mulberry Silk Pillowcase – Cocoonzzz – £49
Embrace Silk Single Duvet – £94
