After a gruelling few years, the summer we’ve all been waiting for has finally become a reality: British festivals are back. Whether you’re dancing until sunrise or ready for bed by 10pm, there’s a festival for everyone this season.

Wireless Festival

While Wireless started as a primarily pop and rock festival, it’s now renowned for representing urban culture and hip-hop. This year’s editions boasts ambitious names across the genre spectrum including Nicki Minaj, Burna Boy, Jack Harlow and Dave.

This year, Wireless comes roaring with vengeance with 3 different locations across 9 days:

1st to 3rd July 2022 – Crystal Palace, London
8th to 10th July 2022 – Finsbury Park, London
8th to 10th July 2022 – Outdoor at NEC, Birmingham

Glastonbury Festival

Tucked away in the green fields of Somerset, Glastonbury is the largest music festival in the UK. Like many festivals, Glastonbury was forced to cancel the last two editions, but 2022 marks the biggest return of Glastonbury yet.

From rock and pop to house and drum and bass, this year’s 5-day line up sees some of the world’s biggest performers including Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Koffee and Diana Ross.

Tickets for this year’s festival have sold out. However, if you missed out, cancellations from the previous year’s tickets will be made available for resale.

Reading & Leeds Festival

The twin festivals take place simultaneously over the August bank holiday weekend. What’s not to love about the sister festivals? From camping with your nearest and dearest to finding yourself on somebody’s shoulders, there’s loads to do – but let’s not forget the iconic line up. Over 100 names including Dave, Arctic Monkeys, Bring Me The Horizon and Megan Thee Stallion.

With only 3 months to go, Reading festival tickets have sold out and there’s a handful of tickets available for Leeds festival.

Secret Garden Party

After a 5-year hiatus, the festival returns to celebrate its 20th year anniversary. Nestled in beautiful countryside with an entirely secret line up, Secret Garden Party has seen superstars from the likes of Florence + The Machine, Gorillaz, Lily Allen and many more.

This year’s tickets were sold out within 2 hours of releasing.

21st July to 24th July 2022 – Abbots Ripton, Huntingdon

Houghton Festival

Houghton Festival describe themselves as ‘a musical line up to challenge, excite and inspire’, and by the looks of their 2022 line up, it’s hard to disagree. It’s arguably one of the best boutique festivals in the UK, renowned for its bespoke sound systems, live art and sculpture illustrations and extended DJ sets. Curated by Craig Richards, the 2022 line up features DJ Storm, Call Super, Afrodeutsche and Jayson Wynters – grab your tickets while you can.
