Cheap, cheerful and cherished by one and all, pizza is the true food of the people.

Whether it’s thin and crispy or stuffed full of cheesy goodness, pizza is one of those culinary delights that’s difficult to get wrong. A bad pizza is still a pizza, after all.

Thankfully, bad pizzas are hard to come by in London, where you’re never more than an oyster’s throw away from a delightful doughy emporium. After a quick office heads together, we’ve come up with our favourites.

Anywhere that offers a bottle of prosecco and a 12 inch pizza for under £20 is a winner in our books. Even better? The pizza is fresh and delicious, the service deliriously fast and the décor crowd-pleasing in bare brick and neon.

Scoring points for the name alone, this cosy cult fave is so cool that it’s earned a collaboration with kitsch jewellery brand Tatty Devine. If you prefer your Italian pie between your teeth instead of hanging around your neck, then Homeslice is a great place to try. Their gigantic 20″ pizzas are perfect first date fodder.

How do we love sourdough? Let us count the ways…Overlord of all things baked, sourdough is our bread of choice. At Franco Manca, it’s kneaded and flipped into magical finishing products. This is hands down one of the best pizza places in London!

Former warehouses are great starting places for pizza joints, and the concrete expanse of Pizza East’s Shoreditch branch is no exception. Once a tea HQ, this cool space is now home to some of the city’s best pizza. Also look out for antipasti and a deli serving Italian meats and cheeses.

Winners in the size department, this Boxpark resident create whopping 22″ masterpieces which they sell as is or by the slice. Size, as we all well know, isn’t everything, so it’s a good thing that Voodoo Ray’s have a recipe that lives up to their larger than life pies. Definitely  one of the best pizza places in London!
