If, like us, you’re frantically googling “places with outdoor seating in London” as soon as a shred of sun comes out, then you’ve come to the right place.

We’ve decided to make your life a little easier by listing our favourite restaurants that offer al fresco dining, so you can have your next meal served with some sunshine.

Vicinity

As fabulous at night as it is in the day, Vicinity is set on the River Thames, overlooking the beautiful Tower Bridge. Their menu offers a range of light bites and cocktails, but we think their Barrel & Stone pizzas are to die for!

Maya @ The Hoxton

Located on the roof of The Hoxton in Shoreditch, this Mexican-inspired eatery makes a stunning sunny-day lunch spot. There’s an open-air dining area surrounded by greenery, with views of one of the trendiest parts of town. The food’s delicious, too – make sure to try out the lunchtime Set Menu.

Sager + Wilde

Nestled in an old railway arch on Paradise Row, Sager + Wilde is enjoyed for its bustling atmosphere, extensive wine and cocktail list and authentic pasta dishes. It’s a great spot for catching up with friends after work.

12th Knot

12th Knot is located on the 12th floor of Sea Containers London, in the bubbly area of Southbank. This eclectic rooftop bar and terrace overlooks the River Thames, and although it only offers a range of light bites to eat outside (we’d recommend the ham & cheese croquettes, by the way), we still thought its stunning views and lively atmosphere made it worth a mention.

Netil360

In the heart of Hackney sits Netil360, a rooftop bar/restaurant offering panoramic views, local beer and delicious dim sum. After-work drinks have never looked so sweet, right?

The Edinboro Castle

Searching for more of a pub-grub-and-drinks atmosphere? Head straight to Camden and visit The Edinboro Castle. In the summertime, you can eat outside in the beer garden – but be aware, it fills up fast! Where food’s concerned, hearty pub classics are their speciality: think steak pies, sausage & mash and an award-winning roast dinner.
