Interwoven Exhibition

Check out the fabulous exhibition based at Habitat, Kings Road, London, which ends today. Interwoven investigates the traditional art of weaving and showcases work by five talented graduates from Central Martin’s College of Art. Highlights include Philippa Thorne’s vibrant, sculptural vessels and baskets from Swaziland and Coralie Bonnet’s large-scale wool and ceramic decorative panels – influenced by her background of designing accessories for Alexander McQueen.

The Decorative Antiques & Textile Fair and Vintage Market Day

Make your way over to Battersea Park for the hugely popular Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair. This fun, fashionable Fair has a worldwide reputation, which means it’s a reliable go-to for opulent show-stoppers, classic furniture, quirky accessories and unusual finds – ranging from fine quality to affordable, one-off pieces.  And if you’re in north London, don’t miss the Vintage Market Day at Keats House, Hampstead. It’s a beautiful place, where you can snap up pre-loved fashion, accessories and teatime treats in elegant surroundings. Afterwards, you can visit the fascinating Keats House museum for half-price!

Wonderwool Wales

The seventh annual Wonderwool Wales Festival is on today at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells. It’s a great family day out with hands-on, woolschool workshops and events honouring the best in Welsh and British wool, and natural fibres. It’s also a brilliant opportunity to enjoy a fantastic range of artisan products and to meet the wonderful people who made them. If you love knitting, felting, weaving, spinning, crochet or textile art, you’ll love Wonderwool Wales.

Coffee recipes

Now you’re in the mood for all things coffee, how about whipping up a delicious coffee recipe from BBC Food? You’ll be spoilt for choice with coffee-flavoured cakes, ice cream, granita, and more to add buzz to your baking. Have a go at Nigella Lawson’s Tiramisini, which she describes as, ‘A tiramisu in the original formulation – although in a ‘drinkier format.’ Watch Nigella make these divine treats in a two-minute video.
