Introducing BrandAlley x Pantone Colour of the Year

BrandAlley x PCOTY

The Pantone Colour of the Year has, over the years become an immeasurable success and aspirational point in the fashion, beauty and homeware industries. For 2021, Pantone has presented not one, but two hues: Illuminating (yellow) and Ultimate Gray, which, coincidentally are BrandAlley’s core brand colours.

These shades represent a synergy of happiness, hopefulness, strength and reliability. It’s a marriage of colour that conveys an optimistic-yet-calming message that is both enduring and uplifting – which is more than necessary during these times.

Celebrating International Day of Happiness

Fittingly, the enduring and uplifting hues from Pantone’s Colour of the Year coincide with International Day of Happiness. Illuminating represents the joy and excitement of the everyday, whilst Ultimate Gray reminds us of reliability, consistency and trust. In a time where all of our joy has been tested, we’re thinking about the simple pleasures, the moments that have carved a smile over the past twelve months in particular, and beyond.

  • The escapism of reading a good book, and yes – a magazine counts.
  • More time spent with our pets, especially when it gives us the excuse to lengthen our daily walk.
  • Treating ourselves to some fresh florals to brighten up the living room, bedroom and kitchen.
  • Finding a new favourite local eatery, even if it’s just for a takeaway.
  • The sweet satisfaction of waking up, realising it’s a Saturday and indulging in a much-needed lie in.
  • Finally getting around to the life admin that’s been put off for months on end (boring, but sadly necessary).
  • The benefits of solace – who’d have thought we’d all become our own favourite company?
  • Silliness with our bubble, even if it’s over the most trivial things.
  • Discovering a new TV show addiction which has a healthy amount of series and episodes.
  • Finally winning a Zoom quiz, after months of failure (normally blamed on overconsumption of wine).
  • Realising that, actually, we’re better at cooking than we ever thought.
  • Getting creative with our style, read: finding different ways to wear our loungewear.
  • The arrival of the online purchase we’ve been exceptionally excited about (especially when there’s a saving to be made #BrandAlleyMoments).

Is all this positivity sparking an appetite for shopping? After all, retail therapy can be the perfect pick-me-up. We’ve carefully curated our top picks so you can dress to impress proudly in the Pantone Colour of the Year signature hues.
