Zadig & Voltaire

Zadig & Voltaire

Zadig & Voltaire is one of the very few brands that manage to cross rock ‘n’ roll with French je ne sais quoi to great effect. Loved by rockstars and models alike, it’s a label with grunge and great design at its leather heart.

Zadig & Voltaire was established in 1997 by Thierry Gillier, the grandson of Lacoste co-founder Andre Gillier. At once, the label’s knack for jeans, boots and leather jackets made it a staple in women’s casual wardrobes. By 2003, new designer Cecilia Bonstom was creating the aesthetic of torn tees and cashmere knits that the label is known for today.

Rock ‘n’ roll is so ingrained in the DNA of the label that there is now an independent music label managed by the company. Grunge-loving model Erin Wasson has created a capsule collection for the brand and rock duo The Kills starred in the 2010/2011 Fall/Winter campaign.

Skulls, leather, studs and Americana-inspired details are all hallmarks of this Parisian label, which you can discover and shop at BrandAlley for much less than everyone else pays. Make like Kate Moss and become the nonchalant cool girl you always imagined yourself to be.
