As cast iron can reach high heat on a low to medium setting, you can seal your food quickly and lock in the moisture, nutrients and flavours, producing succulent tasty meals. It is a very healthy way of cooking too as the cooking fat drains away and collects below the ribs.
The grill is coated with Le Creuset’s specialist satin black enamel finish. Durable and easy to clean, the satin black enamel interior has been especially designed to protect the pan (no seasoning is required) and is ideal for searing and grilling foods such as meat, fish and vegetables.
Over time, it develops a natural patina that is ideal for searing and frying. The Square Grillit® is suitable for use on all hob types, including induction, in the oven, under the grill and on the barbecue and is protected by a Lifetime Guarantee.
Only low to medium heat is required when cooking and will achieve the high surface heat required for searing.

Care and use:
• Remove all packaging and labels. Wash the pan in hot, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
• Medium or low heat will provide the best results for cooking, including frying and searing. Le Creuset Silicone tools or wooden/heat resistant plastic tools are recommended.
• For best results, use appropriately sized ring for even cooking and to reduce risk of damage to product.
• Never drag your product across a glass surface. Always lift to move to prevent damage.
• When grilling, take a few drops of water on your fingers and scatter over the hot surface. If they sizzle and evaporate almost immediately it is hot and ready for use.
• Oven and grill safe up to 260°C. Allow a minimum distance of 6.5cm when grilling.
• Always use oven gloves when handling hot products.
• Allow product to cool before cleaning. If washed too quickly thermal shock may occur, resulting in cracking or loss of enamel.
• Handwash recommended. Freezer compatible and dishwasher safe if no wooden handle.
