1 Simba Renew Bio™ - Exceptional comfort

This innovative, anti-allergenic material provides the superb, down-like comfort of our new Stratos® pillow. It’s made from recycled PET bottle fibres, gently combed into soft, airy clusters, providing cloud-like cushioning and optimum breathability to keep you cool but comfortable.

2 Stratos® temperature control - AKA your pillow thermostat

Getting hot and clammy at night is a common and very disruptive sleep problem, especially in the summer.

That’s why all Simba pillows feature our ingenious Stratos® technology on one side; this makes the fabric feel instantly cool to the touch, as well as enabling it to react to your body temperature, dissipating any excess heat to keep you cool and dry (yes, even when it has a cover on it).

For optimum temperature control, make sure this side is closest to your body as you sleep.

3 Responsible materials - Sustainable comfort (with a touch of magic)

Simba Renew Bio™ is an advanced material offering superb comfort and quality to our pillows. It’s made from recycled PET bottle fibres - so it’s an ingenious, renewable resource in its own right. But it also the ability to biodegrade, which means we can actually eliminate the fibres we use from the environment entirely. So, while normal polyester fibres take thousands of years to dissolve, it takes just two years for Simba Renew Bio™ to vanish, without a trace. Like the rabbit in a magician’s hat.

We also use natural, breathable cotton in our pillows, but we’re careful where it comes from. We’re delighted to be part of the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), a not-for-profit organisation which makes global cotton production* better for the people who produce it and the environment it grows in.

*Better Cotton is sourced via a system of mass balance and is not physically traceable to end products, but BCI farmers benefit from the demand for Better Cotton in equivalent volumes to those we source.

What is Stratos?

Stratos® is our technology designed to help you keep your cool.

It’s a phase change technology, designed to go above and beyond to regulate your temperature while you sleep. It works a little bit like the ozone layer, which keeps the Earth’s temperature in check by absorbing the excess heat from the sun. If you get too hot during the night, Stratos® absorbs your body heat to cool you down. If you get too cold, it releases the heat to warm you up.

You'll know which side of your duvet or pillow is the high-tech one because we’ve added handy colour-coded piping along the edges. Blue side = cool side.
