Hybrid® Ultra: Tech Spotlight

1. Naturally Cool. Naturally Dry.

Our tech team were laser-focussed on creating the coolest, most comfortable top layer for the Ultra. In lab tests, a combination of breathable wool, airy bamboo and cooling charcoal was the best performer. But there was something missing.

Meet natural, silky-soft kapok. Found in the rainforests of Southeast Asia, kapok is one of the lightest plant fibres on earth, with an air content of 80% and a fine wax coating that makes it moisture resistant. The high air content makes it breathable, thermo-regulating.

2. Simbatex® foam technology

We know being too hot stops us sleeping well. That’s why our tech team created cooling, cushioning Simbatex® foam in the first place. But the Ultra is the only Simba mattress to have a revolutionary, double layer of it.

Simbatex is an open-cell foam, with a less dense structure that offers much better, springier elasticity and more airflow; it’s also infused with graphite, a natural heat conductor which helps excess warmth and humidity flow away from the body.

3. Purelift™ Ergonomic Support

Being inventive isn’t always about creating new materials; sometimes it’s about finding fresh ways to use traditional ones. Which is exactly what our tech team did with latex and, coconut.

PureLift™ is the fusion of naturally elastic latex and breathable coconut fibres, famous for their properties of resistance and bounce. In product testing, this unique blend created an incredible spring-like layer with superb airflow and pressure distribution, adapting to your body shape to provide exceptional and complete support.

4. Best Aerocoil® spring comfort

Our technologists insisted on 8,500 springs in the Ultra, more than any other Simba mattress. They said it was the path to perfection, and we couldn’t argue with that.

4,000 titanium alloy Aerocoil® micro springs sit in the upper layers. You can’t feel them, but they compress individually in response to your body, providing ergonomic pressure relief and limiting transfer of movement.

3,500 high carbon steel Aerocoil® micro springs sit further down the mattress to maximise support, gently pushing fresh air through the mattress as they compress.

The Hybrid® Ultra also features our SupportCore™ base, with 1,000 pocketed barrel springs to ensure 100% edge-to-edge support.

• Non-removable cover: Made from wool and plant-derived viscose. Wool is sourced through the Traceable British Wool Scheme and woven in Yorkshire.
• Upper wool layer: UK wool/fire retardant binder (low melt polyester). Conforms to UK fire safety regulations.
• Wool: 100% from UK sheep, biodegradable and chemical free. Sourced under the Traceable British Wool Scheme which is run in partnership with the British Wool Marketing Board and embraces the ‘Red Tractor’ scheme.
• Hemp: 100% Yorkshire grown, renewable, biodegradable resource. Chemical free. Waste product used in animal bedding and sustainable building materials.
• Flax: 100% Yorkshire grown, renewable, biodegradable resource. Chemical free. Waste product used in animal bedding and sustainable building materials.
• Cotton: Upcycled from French cotton mills.
• 2,500 (25mmD) titanium alloy Aerocoil® conical springs, manufactured in Leeds. Enclosed in 100% polypropylene pockets.
• Sprung base: 768 high carbon steel QuadCore™ barrel springs manufactured in Leeds. Enclosed in 100% polypropylene pockets via sonic welding. 100% glue free.
• Protective casing: Made from polyester.

Care

• Use a vacuum cleaner or soft brush to remove surface dust on a weekly basis. To avoid material distortion or fading, keep your upholstered furniture away from direct sunlight. Any spills must be blotted with a soft, dry cloth or paper towel as soon as they occur. Do not rub stains or spills and work them from the outside edge inwards to avoid stains spreading. If in doubt, seek professional assistance.

This item will be delivered directly from our supplier . Please ensure you provide a mobile phone number with your order, as you will receive a message, email or call from the courier with delivery information and times. All damages and discrepancies must be reported within 7 days of delivery. Goods should be returned in their original packaging where possible. Please do not dispose of your old bed or mattress until the new one arrives and you are happy with it. UK Mainland delivery only.

All bed frames supplied by the Supplier will benefit from a 200 Night Sleep Trial in terms not materially different than those set out in the Supplier’s e-commerce website Terms and Conditions (which may be reviewed at https://simbasleep.com/pages/terms) at Clause 8A of those Terms and Conditions, save that the extended right of cancellation shall be for 200 days.

Simba guarantees to replace any bed frame, as may be determined by Simba’s independent inspection agent, to be exhibiting a manufacturing defect in respect of the frame within 10 years of the delivery date, or any bed frame exhibiting a manufacturing defect in respect of the fabric cover of the bed frame within 2 years of the delivery date, subject to the full terms set out at Clause 12 https://simbasleep.com/pages/terms
