With a total of 5000 individually pocked springs, sumptuous natural fillings and a beautifully hand tufted pillow top this is one of the most luxurious mattresses you can buy. Inside the pillow top there are an abundance of high-quality natural fillings the upper comfort layer features a blend of alpaca fleece, silk, lambswool and bamboo fibres which sits atop a 1200gsm 100% wool rebound layer which can naturally mimic the feeling of foam without any of the chemicals or heat issues.
The natural fillings work to acclimate the mattress to its surroundings helping you stay warmer in winter and cooler in the summer months. There is also an advanced airflow system with multiple vents mounted on each side of the mattress to force warm air out ensuring that the inside of the mattress stays cool and fresh.
There are four rows of side stitching all around the mattress which will ensure the fillings stay securely in place and a firm side support so the mattress will hold true even if you are sitting right on the edge.
The core of the mattress is based around a 2000 pocket spring unit with 2000 full size individually pocketed springs which are topped by 1000 micro pocket springs an additional polycotton rebound layer and then 2000 more micro pocket springs. The specific layering and high spring count has been designed for the ultimate level of weight distribution to allow the mattress to contour to your body and provide maximum pressure relief with a medium-firm orthopaedic level of support.
Due to the natural materials used in the construction of this mattress, it will require a breaking in period. This means the mattress will feel considerably firmer during the first week to 2 weeks before settling into the medium-firm support that it is designed to provide.
