Mint Velvet
“Relaxed yet glamourous brand, Mint Velvet was founded in 2009 by Liz Houghton, Jane Rawlings, Lisa Agar Rea and Stuart Grant. They introduced the company based on their own desires “to wear the trends in a relaxed way” and look effortlessly stylish. The concept was born while the foursome were sat around Liz' kitchen table one summer, drinking fresh mint tea.
Mint Velvet focuses on creating an ever-evolving, always complementary collection of wardrobe stables such as flattering trousers, pretty dresses, slinky knits and casually elegant jackets. In 2011 they launched their first footwear collection of Italian leather shoes and boots and in 2014 they released their hygge collection based on the Danish art of being in the moment.
The company has numerous concessions across John Lewis, House of Fraser and Fenwick as well as its own stand-alone stores. Their growth has been phenomenal, and they have opened their markets internationally. In 2017 they launched a WEAREWOMEN podcast to celebrate the highs and lows of modern life featuring inspirational and interesting guests..
